Research lines

To get new techniques on advanced automation, distributed-control, development of innovative techniques for predictive diagnostics, process-integrated management systems, and on the simulation of productive processes. In other words, we work to develop and transfer innovative technologies for ensuring a reliable operation, making available tools that guarantee the best decision-making method, and thus obtain optimal manufacturing
The goal that drives us is to improve productive processes to make them as reliable as possible, entirely supervised, controlled, and optimized.
In this sense, our vocation has driven us to work on industrial communications and instrumentation that are the foundations upon which we have built our integral solutions for the development of prototypes and machines, and processes and systems control.
The purpose of this line is to analyze the physical and chemical mechanisms that take place on these processs using different synthesis and characterization techniques.
We work with integral large systems capable of generating energy for buildings, using solar and geothermal energy and as a complement to conventional systems
We work on the design and development of sensors networks, middleware platforms, and e-services, by the premise of interoperability, flexibility, scalability, and standardization, thus creating the required digital environment where the concept of "environmental intelligence" can be displayed.
The structures in general have, in design, a reserve of strength that it is sometimes desirable to evaluate through simulation. Under these conditions, to evaluate the status of these We work with integral large systems capable of generating energy for buildings, using solar and geothermal energy and as a complement to conventional systems structures is necessary to use advanced analytical models on a non-linear (inelastic, plastic, damaged, large displacements) for calculating the final collapse load considering the evolution of all variables considering different materials, scenarios and configurations.
On their part, the computer vision systems make possible to fulfill the most demanding quality requirements, by facilitating inspection and control of 100% of the product. Likewise, they turn out to be the suitable option for controlling any kind of processes, and for manipulators and robots guidance.
Application to industrial, aereal, satelital and industrial and home surveillance images.
This line focuses on laser measurement tasks and accurate virtual modeling, both civil work environments as historical and artistic heritage.
The experience gained in many applications, enables us to handle projects using commercial equipment, scanners short and long range, total stations, GPS, software reverse engineering, CAD / CAM and self-development tools (hardware and software) for specific needs.
This research line rises from the need to find an alternative to synthetic compounds for the food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutics industry, and substitute them with natural ones, which could also come from low-value raw materials or by-products derived from the productive process of the company
Our objective is the application of Biotechnology to the development of new production processes and the support to current processes in the agrofood sector, through the development of new biotechnological processes for waste recovery and obtaining new products.
These techniques have been applied to real problems, on both industrial and technological areas. An effort made to introduce CARTIF in the industrial sector as a reference in the development of research projects of social action.
This line uses the membranes and oxidation processes to treat wastewater and used oils; it has been used too for the treatment of PCBs, endocrine disruptors and pig manure.
Developing procedures to recovery those materials that are generated in the industrial activity.
This line goal is to place at the disposal of healthcare workers the tools provided by the engineering as aid to the research, diagnosis, and treatment of illnesses; and for the improvement of the technological systems currently in use on the various healthcare areas.
