CARTIF shows its experience in Smart Cities in ‘Cities for Excellence’ event

CARTIF will takes part in the Cities for Excellence event, in October 11-12, an strategic matchmaking meeting, which combines science, strategy, future and excellence, with the objective of being a call for long term partnering for H2020’s Smart Cities project.

This networking event will take place during European Week of Regions in Brussels, and will get together H2020 active Smart City projects, about 40 countries and more than 300 SME and industries represented by participant clusters.

Sergio Sanz, Head of R&D Programmes of CARTIF, will present the experience of CARTIF and will talk about FP7 and H2020 Smart City and urban regeneration projects, after several years of working on projects from these programmes and making efforts to achieve turning European cities into more sustainable, efficient and digital places for citizens. Some of these projects are Remourban, R2Cities, CITyFiED, Urban GreenUp or mySMARTLife.

CARTIF works on projects focused on urban regeneration strategies in Europe through actions in the fields of energy efficiency in buildings, sustainable mobility and information and communication technologies to develop better services for citizens, as well as the replicability of these solutions in other cities, data management, business models or analysis of non-technical barriers. In conclusion, the main goal of CARTIF is to improve life in European cities.
