Architecs and engineers from Spain and Portugal, really interested in its application .

Researchers from CARTIF, CTCV, RECET and EREN (partners in RENERPATH Project) have developed in the last two years a methodology that enables the integration and adaptation of renewable energies in the process of new techniques, the development of new energy efficient materials adapted to the characteristics of these buildings and the analysis and applicability of new energy solutions.

This Project has been developed during last two years. In the Spanish case, the cathedral of Ciudad Rodrigo (Salamanca) has been the subject of study and implementation of the new measures. This city held the presentation event of the Application Guide for energy rehabilitation of heritage buildings, reflecting the outcome of the project. This manual contains the applicable technologies and quantified actions and benchmarks, technical and economic feasibility. The book will be presented in Coimbra (Portugal) next December 14th.
