CARTIF researchers participated in the 17th Technology Summit & Technology Platform in New Delhi (India)

The EC predict that the 20 % of the world science will be carried out between China and India in 2025. That's the reason why these two countries are the strategic objective for the Spanish system of Science and Technology.

dsc_0072More than 300 companies and research centres from Spain and India were gathered together in this Asiatic country in the framework of the 17th Technology Summit & Technology Platform, the most significant technology event of cooperation between Spain and India in recent years. Spanish participation as a co-organizer country in this bilateral Summit is an unprecedented initiative which aspires to show and reinforce the Spanish image as a country of science and technology in India, one of the more important markets and with more potential impact in the world.

Jose Fermoso, researcher from Environment Division, presented CARTIF to a forum of Spanish and Indian public representatives, companies and research organisms related to water field. CARTIF works in several research lines dealing with the integral treatment of water using advanced technologies as photocatalysis and membranes which aroused interest of Indian companies.

In the framework of the Summit, the Spanish delegation visited several relevant Indian companies as JCB Ltd, Central Electronics Ltd, The Energy and Resources Institute or the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
