Panama's ambassador in Spain visit Cartif

As part of an institutional visit to Castilla y León to promote relations between the American country and our region

dsc01595The president of the Regional Goverment, Juan Vicente Herrera, and the Panama's ambassador in Spain, Álvaro Tomás, yesterday held a meeting in Parliament to boost the level of cooperation between companies in both territories and trade relations. Later, Tomás held a working lunch with several Boecillo Technology Park business, between those who were responsible for the Cartif. Department of International Projects After lunch, the Panamanian ambassador visited the facilities of some of the companies located in the Park among them was Cartif.

The main areas of interest of Panama in our region are the chemical and food as Álvaro Tomás expressed interest in the multiple R & D projects undertaken by the center in Spain, Europe and Latin America. Energy and environmental sector also attracted the interest of the ambassador, given the potential of the Central American country.

Cartif researchers have already participated in several trade missions to Panama where, soon, they could start working on various projects related to the sugar industry.
