This project will have a center of Spanish control in the Complutense University of Madrid
Russian and Spanish scientists involved in the design of a new space telescope, the WSO-UV, in collaboration with Germany, China and Ukraine. The WSO-UV project, which is led by Russia, will go into orbit in 2013, more than 42,000 kilometers of land. This telescope will send data to Madrid and Moscow and is destined to be one of the most valuable tools of astronomy.
This project, which will have a Spanish control center located at the University Complutense of Madrid, with the collaboration of RedIRIS, who has participated in providing a tailored service to deploy a dedicated connection point to point Level 2, and providing technical support. With this telescope, Hubble's successor, it will be to study very large mass zaonas space or begin to form stars.
RedIRIS is the academic and research network Spanish and provides advanced communications services to the scientific community. Cartif participates in RedIRIS for several years.
