The nanoencapsulation of active principles, a new challenge for the food industry

laboratorioprimerplano

Five Spanish technological centers working on the project towards techniques and procedures for applying nanotechnology to the field of power from the early nanoencapsulado activos. This project, funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation, has a budget of 1, 3 million euros.

DINAMO expiring in 2011, will generate new knowledge in the development and application of nanotechnology in food. To this end, we investigate in the selection of functional materials that have the need to be encapsulated to avoid losing their beneficial properties to health. Also being tested with different coating materials suitable for food use that achieve nanometric dimensions and to ensure its validity and safety for human consumption.
This project involves a high degree of R & D since it involves the development of new techniques to introduce, for the first time in Spain, nanotechnology in the food sector.
