Study on propulsion systems for tourist boats in shallow waters

The goal of this project is the study and definition of appropriate propulsion systems for tourist boats with shallow drafts.

• Study on different power generation systems (engines) required for the movement and other energetic needs of the vessel.
• Study on the possible systems of power transmission to the propulsion systems.

• Study on the system of the driving elements of the craft (propellers, blades, water jet, etc.). These elements constitute the propulsion system, but they cannot be studied by themselves without taking into account their connection with the transmission system and the power generation system. The propulsion system will incorporate enough controls and regulations to protect it from possible collisions or overloads.
• Analysis and development of an integral structure that supports the power generation, transmission, and driving elements.
