The concern of modern society about controlling their health through their diet makes essential a thorough control of the manufacturing process of food, which guarantees maximum quality and safety.

In this area we work on offering solutions to the industry and the consumers, paying attention to their needs. To accomplish this, we optimize the manufacturing processes, develop new products, and do agro-food waste recovery, besides of undertaking physicochemical, microbiological and sensory analysis.

Research Areas

Procurement and purification of natural compounds and their incorporation to products of high added value

Its goal is to obtain compounds of high added value, via extraction, purification, and hydrolysis techniques, and other processing methods like extrusion.

Application of biotechnological processes and tools to the agro-food industry

Our objective is the application of Biotechnology to the development of new production processes and the support to current processes in the agro-food sector, through the development of new biotechnological processes for waste recovery and obtaining new products.

We offer the industry a dynamic option in the R&D+I field. Our experience in the development of diverse processes and the technology related to them allow us to give a range of solutions to different sectors, like the agro-food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, petrochemical, and biotechnological sectors.
