The main activity of this Research Area focuses on the new techniques on advanced automation, distributed-control, development of innovative techniques for predictive diagnostics, process-integrated management systems, and on the simulation of productive processes. In other words, we work to develop and transfer innovative technologies for ensuring a reliable operation, making available tools that guarantee the best decision-making method, and thus obtain optimal manufacturing processes.
The goal that drives us is to improve productive processes to make them as reliable as possible, entirely supervised, controlled, and optimized.
In this sense, our vocation has driven us to work on industrial communications and instrumentation that are the foundations upon which we have built our integral solutions for the development of prototypes and machines, and processes and systems control.
The Predictive Maintenance Area relies on a team composed of multidisciplinaryengineers with more than 10 years of experience on the sector.
We work on the optimization of industrial installations starting from systems modeling, both continuous and discrete; to subsequently apply the most advanced techniques and methods for control and automation on these models.
Our work consists on keeping up to date the involved state-of-the-art control technologies, their use on those fields that are prone to their implementation, and the development of new solutions.
