Machinery

The design of machinery and their operating processes is the goal of the labor carried out by various areas of Cartif, which work simultaneously to offer our clients the developments they require.

The Mechanical Engineering Processes area has an extensive experience in the design of machinery, according to the applicable regulations, for the meat, wine, agricultural, automotive and food sectors, among others.

In addition to the design of machinery, our researchers also work on the simulation and analysis of mechanical elements, either new mechanisms, or modifying their aesthetic, functional, economic or technological features. We also carry out simulations of the movements of machines and mechanisms.

Some examples of the applications of our technologies are:

• Monitoring and diagnosis of the sheet cutting process by master-slave control of the two motors that move the shear’s blades.
• Designing the prototype of a new range of portal milling machines of high speed, large work-load capacity, and maximum modularity, capable of executing roughing operations under conventional machining conditions.

Besides the design, the new techniques of advanced automation, distributed control, industrial communications, and instrumentation, are the pillars that support our integral solutions for the development of prototypes and machines, and for the processes and systems control.
