The need to conserve the environment’s quality, as well as diminishing the consumption of fossil fuels, requires the use of renewable energy sources in all possible activities. Besides, energy is a key element in all human activity and inherent to the development of society.

The environmental issues linked to the traditional energy conversion systems (greenhouse effect, acid rain, radioactive waste), are all factors in a new boost to the development of new means of energy production.

The Centre’s policy of determined support to renewable energies leads to the integration of these kinds of energy sources in our own buildings. As an outcome of this activity, we have developed a monitoring tool for our premises: PredeoMet.
